Zane Rettew Dominates In Florence; Sits 3 Points Out Of 1st

It was a dominating weekend for Rettew Motorsports in Florence, SC on the Monster Jam Arena Championship Series. Zane Rettew went into the weekend 24 points behind series leader Randy Brown, and now after claiming all three overall event wins, Stinger Unleashed sits just 3 points behind Grave Digger.
The weekend started out on the right foot when Zane Rettew would put Stinger Unleashed in the winner’s circle in both the Two-Wheel Skills competition and the Freestyle competition, while Lindsey Rettew drove Pretty Wicked to her first ever win by spinning her way to the top of the Donut competition. Zane’s strong monster truck performance paired with ATV rider Brett Butters’ points would be enough to secure the Overall Event Championship.
The second show of the day would prove that Stinger Unleashed and Zane Rettew is on a mission in 2019, as he looks toward the end-goal of a spot in the Monster Jam World Finals XX. With a final round racing appearance followed up by wins in Two-Wheel Skills, Donuts, and Freestyle, Zane Rettew again secured the most points of any monster truck driver, and after being paired with the ATV points, Stinger Unleashed was once again on top of the pod as the Overall Event Champion, continuing to creep closer to re-gaining 1st place on AT4.
The final event of the weekend would be a near mirror to the first show. A final round racing appearance got the day started, followed-up by a Two-Wheel Skills win and a Freestyle win, while taking home second place in the Donut competition. After the event and the scores were tallied up, Zane Rettew would not only win his third, and therefore sweeping the weekend, Overall Event Championship, but also becomes only the third driver to accomplish that feat in 2019 across all of the arena tours.
What the dominating performances this weekend mean is that Lindsey Rettew has now moved up to 7th place on the AT4 standings, and sitting just 3 points out of first, Zane Rettew has the opportunity to put Stinger Unleashed back in 1st place as early on as the first show next weekend in Tupelo, MS.
