Rettew Motorsports Gears Up For 2020
December 23, 2019
As the 2020 season quickly approaches, the Rettew Motorsports crew is hard at work getting the trucks ready for battle this winter. After one final event of the year back in November, Stinger Unleashed and Pretty Wicked were brought home and torn down to the bare chassis to be gone over and prepared for 2020. The team is also preparing for our newest delivery, a brand new chassis for Stinger Unleashed (Stinger #6 for those keeping track).
As the preparation work begins to come to an end and the focus shifts to the new projects coming to our shop soon, the crew worked on a few side projects around the Rettew Motorsports compound.
For starters, the new Mini Monster Trucks are coming along ahead of schedule. After the successful debut of CeeJay Rettew’s mini Stinger Unleashed, two more trucks are in the works, which will run as mirror images to our other team trucks, Pretty Wicked and Bearly Tame.
Next on the list was to finish the shop’s apartment for crew members and extra helpers who are staying for an extended period of time. The new apartment features a kitchen area, bathroom with hot water tank, which also feeds hot water lines throughout the shop, as well as bedroom space.
Lastly, the biggest item on the list was the purchase of two new (to us) pieces of heavy equipment to use around Rettew Motorsports as well as in the farm fields around the shop. The new skid-loader and bulldozer will be major assets to our team. They arrived in pretty sore condition, but a good wash, fresh paint, and new decals and lettering have these machines looking better than ever. We can’t wait to put them to the test this spring.
More updates will be coming soon with more photos and details on the progress of the new Stinger Unleashed build.
