Rettew Motorsports Clears The Board In Savannah, GA
January 13, 2020
On a weekend where independently owned monster truck teams made huge power moves by dominating events across several different series, Rettew Motorsports followed suit, sweeping the weekend at the Savannah Civic Center on the Monster X Tour. With a brand new truck underneath him, Zane Rettew made sure to send the Georgia crowds home happy by winning at each event. Anything not won by Zane and Stinger Unleashed was claimed by teammate and wife, Lindsey Rettew in Pretty Wicked.
The weekend started on Friday night, where Stinger Unleashed would win all three elements to sweep the event. With the new truck performing phenomenally, Zane set his sights on clearing the board for the entire weekend. The second show was shaping up to be another sweep as Zane mastered the 2-Wheel Competition and then powered his way to the final round of racing. It was an all Rettew Motorsports final, and in spectacular fashion, Lindsey Rettew drove Pretty Wicked past Stinger Unleashed, ending any hopes of a full weekend sweep for Zane. Hot off the racing win, Lindsey took to the track for freestyle and absolutely crushed it, picking up her second win of the weekend, and setting the tone for the final event of the weekend.
In the final event, Zane once again wheeled Stinger Unleashed to the 2-Wheel Competition victory, sweeping that element for the weekend. Then in another all-Rettew final round, Pretty Wicked once again proved superior, leaving Stinger Unleashed coming up short again. In the final freestyle event of the weekend, Zane and Lindsey both thrilled the Savannah crowd, but it was the Stinger Unleashed machine that was just a little better, giving Zane the final win of the weekend, and securing a sweep of the weekend for the Rettew Motorsports team.
